G. Love, also known as Garrett Dutton, connects with World Cafe to talk about Love Saves the Day. The latest release was produced with Brushfire Records.  G. Love reviews some of the tracks from the record and performs them live in the studio.

When asked about his vocals, Dutton shares his experience with David Dye.

“I actually had vocal surgery. I had a bad injury in 2008. That was really kind of a wake up call for me. I never really thought about my voice or my vocals too much, other than a way of getting my words out. When it was gone, and my whole career was at stake. I had a successful surgery, by a young doctor here. Since, I’ve been studying.” – Garrett D.
