Taylor Swift Wins Album of the Year, Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars Win Record of the Year
The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards® was broadcasted live on CBS Monday, February 15 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Musicians from different genres were awarded for their hard work and dedication. Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn picked up Best Folk Album early in the evening. This marks Béla’s 16th GRAMMY Award.
Taylor Swift picked up her 10th award with three big wins. She opened the show with a stunning live performance, and gave an empowering acceptance speech. Swift showcased her class, along with her ability to show younger generations how to properly act in any situation.
Lady Gaga‘s tribute to David Bowie is available to stream below. Neil Rogers helped with bass during the melody. Overall, I found the short clips of each song to lack respect for the original works of art. In my view, if you have six minutes, you take a 4 minute song, and remake it with a sense of originality.
Kendrick Lamar‘s performance spoke to the Black Lives Matter movement, and people across the world. He showcased his lyrical skill, and prowess within music. The way the he gives God praise during his moments of fame, show his humble and divine nature as a musician.
“First off, all glory to God that’s for sure.” – Kendrick Lamar
