“When I talk about democratic socialist, this is what I say. You have a right, regardless of your income to healthcare. I believe that. Whether you are rich, whether you are poor, old, young, black, white, you have the right to healthcare. You have the right to an education.”

Their discussions are an excellent example of the progression taking place in our country. In the chaos of the upcoming presidential election, it is important to focus on the topics that drive voters to the polls. It is the issues and policies that we need to focus on in the midst of the political chaos.

Mike and Bernie highlight social justice, and I also see the connections to environmental justice. As a developed society, it is important for our public to understand the limitations we all face. Not just our own class or race, but to take a look at how other races and groups in our country treat one other. We can progress when the people are ready to make a positive difference.

The duo is set to perform a set of large scale music festival this summer including a set at the 2016 Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
