Major Lazer, Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton Mix it Up in Austin
ACL Festival 2016 has just announced their 2016 lineup with over 130 live acts. This year the festival has Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Mumford & Son headlining the event. With over 130 acts to choose from, this lineup is one of the biggest in the US.
ACL Fest, similar to Coachella, as they provide two weekends of live entertainment. 2016 marks ACL Fest’s 15th anniversary. The festival’s management shared with us some of the outline to when these acts will be performing live.
The anniversary lineup also features Chris Stapleton (Weekend One), The Chainsmokers, Flume, M83, HAIM, LL Cool J, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals (Weekend Two) and NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS. Margo Price, Gallant, ST. LUCIA (Weekend One), Bob Moses and The Strumbellas will offer fans a wealth of new music discovery.
Other breakout artists include: Melanie Martinez, Aluna George, Nothing But Thieves, Wild Belle and Anderson East (Weekend Two).
Texas legend Willie Nelson (Weekend Two) will return for the first time since his performance in 2006, along with more than 20 homegrown talents including Kacey Musgraves (Weekend One), Blue October (Weekend One), Wild Child (Weekend One), ISRAEL NASH (Weekend One), Bayonne (Weekend One), Walker Lukens & The Side Arms (Weekend Two), Keeper (Weekend Two), and Asleep at the Wheel (commemorating their 15th year performing at the festival).
3-Day General Admission Tickets ($255) for both weekends go on sale today, May 5 at 10 a.m. CST at http://www.aclfestival.com/tickets/.
