The Grove Rocks Out to International Rock with Peter Bjorn and John

Peter Bjorn and John, a trio from Sweden, now expanded as a quintet in their live performances, continues to showcase their latest album Breakin’ Point for audiences all over the planet.

Luckily, I was able to cover their concert at The Ready Room in The Grove, a district within St. Louis. Dropkick the Robot opened the show. Peter Bjorn and John hit the stage close to 9:15 p.m. They opened with recent music from their “Gimmie Some” album.

This marked my first time seeing the band live, as well as my first time attending a show at The Ready Room, and it was one of my favorite Monday night shows of all time. The band was firing on all cylinders, and the crowd was intimate and responsive.

My older brother and I picked up some of the vinyl the band had available at the merchandise table.
