The Journey of One Man Against Himself
I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, a documentary film that was directed by Justin Krook, is an adrenaline-pumping piece on one of the most renown DJs working today known as Steve Aoki.
The film captures the calm before the storm, with Aoki’s biggest show of his career in the works. This insightful documentary examines the drive behind his passion. His father, Rocky Aoki, daredevil showman, Benihana founder, and Steve’s biggest role model, sits at the center of his driving force.
I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead originally was released at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Netflix quickly bought the film and now will stream it on their platform starting August 19 of this year.
