Cloudy with a Mix of +40 Live Acts at Vertex
Vertex Music Festival is taking place this weekend in Buena Vista, Colorado. The festival has ODESZA, Alabama Shakes and the Trey Anastasio Band headlining the three day event.
Vertex Festival 2016 will held in Buena Vista, Colorado. This marks their first year the festival is throwing the event, and may experience cloudy weather mixed with some rain.
Samantha Harvey, a photographer covering the event, has mentioned that she plans to bring: 2 raincoats, extra clothes, pop up canopy, and tarps.
I also suggest bringing a second pair of shoes, ropes to tie down the tarps, towels, and most importantly, a positive attitude.
The weather for this weekend can easily change, and the amount of precipitation in the area appears to me at this time to not have a strong potential to create storms with lightening. That is a good sign, if it rains, a lot of the live shows can continue, but in case of a storm with lightening cells, the festival will have to stop the music for everyones safety.
In case they do need to shut down operations, it is smart to have a nearby area scouted out beforehand. Be in store for all kinds of weather this weekend. Preparation that goes into your trip for safety and comfort is key for outdoor music festivals.
My view on packing for outdoor events: if it rainy and rough outside, you will be prepared with extra clothes, and gear to switch into. As well as, if it is clear weather, you still have backup just in case.
Each week we feature a location with a weather outlook plugin on the sidebar of the page. This week we will be showing the weather for Buena Vista, Colorado.
Overall, bring a positive vibe, and people will love to see you smile all weekend.
