Global Citizen Festival is now streaming live on YouTube with live performances featuring: Rihanna, Kendrik Lamar, Demi Lovato, Major Lazer and Metallic.

#GCFestival has hosted the ruckus of Major Lazer, as well as the beautiful and seductive sounds of Demi Lovato at 3:30 p.m CST / 4:30 p.m. EST.

Usher performed ‘Champion’ with Rubin Blades and a boys choir. His vocals are far above par. You can hear the lame backing track, but Usher puts out the effort to hit complex notes on stage. Rubin Blades adds an international flavor to the song.

The Kenyan Boys Choir is currently spreading the love on the main stage. When the performance first started, I heard the backing track, but was pleasantly surprised to see the group of young men owning it with live singing in addition to the backing track.

In between live sets, the event will be sharing stories from families and communities effected by poverty. They will have speakers sharing important information to the live streaming audience, as well as the 60,000 sun soaked attendees in New York.

Usher, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Yandel, and Yusuf/Cat Stevens will be making special appearences throughout the event. Global Citizen Festival 2016 has a day filled with educative speakers, as well as electric entertainment on stage.
