Chance the Rapper, Phantogram, Big Gigantic, The Strumbellas and +50 Live Music Acts
SASQUATCH! Music Festival released their 2017 to a wide range of response on social media. This year the four day camping music festival taking place May 26-28 will host Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean and Chance the Rapper as headliners.
One of the reoccurring patterns that I have seen is a large outcry of negativity on social media during the release of major music festival lineups, and seeing totally opposite behavior taking place at the actual festivals.
When I saw this lineup, the first two headliners were not my style, but Chance the Rapper is one of the best new artists. He is having a tough 2017 with the amount of large festivals he is headlining with negative-based comments filling message boards for events he is performing at this summer. Despite the negativity, Chance the Rapper will prevail with world-class performances year round.
The next artist that jumped out at me was MGMT. I find their music and depth of material to be very interesting to experience live in concert.
After watching Phantogram grow and try out different combinations of musicians, I find them to be one of the stronger indie acts that performs on the music festival circuit.
SASQUATCH! Music Festival is also hosting one of the funkiest live band known as Vulfpeck. They should have a headlining slot, but make sure not to miss their live set.
Below is a YouTube video made by Scotty McGill. His GoPro film style makes for an interesting adventure to the 2014 SASQUATCH! Music Festival.
