Dial Back into the Soul Music from Sharon Jones
March is Women’s History Month, and Record Store Day usually takes place in the following month of April.
Women have carved out sections of independent music within different genres. They continue to push the boundaries of our expectations. Recently we lost Sharon Jones, but her soul and music lives on. The history of her music continues to thrive.
Record Store Day is set to release a special early recording of Jones performing with E.L. Fields and The Gospel Wonders. 2,500 copies will be available.
Additionally releases include: Dance Mix by Madonna, rare demos by Stevie Nicks on the album Rarities, Dolly Parton’s Puppy Love, the first self-released album Under Feet Like Ours by Tegan and Sara, Sia on Spotify Sessions, and many more talented female musicians.

“It is with deep honor and humility that I accept this ambassadorship. Rest assured I do not take my duties lightly.” – St. Vincent
