March is Women's History Month, and Record Store Day usually takes place in the following month of April. Women have carved out sections of independent music within different genres. They continue to push the boundaries of our expectations. Recently we lost Sharon Jones, but her soul and music lives on. The history of her music continues to thrive. Record Store Day is set to release a special early recording of Jones performing with E.L. Fields and The Gospel Wonders. 2,500 copies will be available. Brandy Clark and Charlie Worsham are two singer/songwriters based in Nashville, Tennessee and will be setting out on tour this summer together.
