Weezer Breaks in Summer on Friday, Major Lazer throws the Bash of the Weekend, and Chance the Rapper Finishes Strong with the Daily Lineup for Hangout Fest
The Hangout Music Festival announced their daily lineup yesterday. This year the festival will host over 90 live acts over 4 days in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Hangout Fest will first host their Thursday Pre-party with Migos, Cherub, Tchami, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. This pre-party lineup is more condensed in comparison to pervious years. Last year, we went to check out Lil’ Dicky, Matt & Kim and a few others. Overall, for an evening event, a condensed lineup on Thursday will keep people fresh going into three full days of music.
After covering the event for five years in a row, we will be taking this year off. That being said, four days of live music all day is exhausting no matter your energy level or age. The sun at the Hangout Music Festival does decrease stamina, and guests should look to maximize their favorite shows by getting there early and up close.
Friday will rock out with Weezer, Dillon Francis, Frank Ocean and The Strumbellas making their debut.
One of the top acts to return to Hangout Fest is Major Lazer. He performed with Skrillex in 2015, as well as a solo performance.

Sunday will close out with Chance the Rapper, Mumford and Sons and DJ Snake performing live on stage.
Next year, we want to return with the jam bands that helped make our outlet an international platform. If it was not for musicians like The Revivalists, Lotus, Umphrey’s McGee, Galactic, Widespread Panic, the String Cheese Incident, Phil and Friends, Moe., Vulfpeck, The Werks, Lettuce, Lance Herbstrong, Gov’t Mule, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, and Keller Williams; I would have never sustained the motivation to keep a media outlet going for seven years. It is the bands that have supported us that I love the most. If we haven’t worked together yet, or I forgot to mention you, I still love you, but want to share the love for those that have lifted us on their shoulders that have expanded our horizons.
