The alternative rock band from Castleton, VT known as Twiddle will be releasing PLUMP: Chapters 1 & 2 on April 28.

This evening Twiddle will be celebrating the launch of the pre-sale for the album with a performance at the Concord Music Hall in Chicago.

After the show this evening, they will be touring around the country to support their latest material.

The range of synthesizers and piano by Ryan Dempsey on ‘Amydst The Myst’ is highly notable.

The vocals could use some additional direction from another producer, as well as some vocal training with a coach. Mihali Savoulidis has a unique voice, and it sounds like he self-taught himself how to sing. You can train someone notes in a song, but you cannot train someone to sing with soul, and Savoulidis does produce a great deal of effort and love in his music. Just trying to help refine the sound of the band, not hating.

Chapter 2 features the song ‘Juggernaut’ which reminds me of Blue Oyster Clut’s ‘Godzilla.’ The lyrics to this song are controversial overall. The guitar sounds like BOC and Rage Against the Machine stepped into a mosh pit. This song is one of my favorites by the band. Excellent use of range.
