Oculus and Pixar Team Together to Create a Unique Virtual World

One of the best films of 2017 has recently expanded with a virtual reality component to provide additional depth to Coco.

After watching the film in a theater, I found myself deeply engaged with the story and characters. Overall, I found that Coco was above average in storytelling, and when I found out about a VR app on the Oculus Store, I decided to check it out first hand.

A piece to this application that I loved was the option to play it on Gear VR via the Oculus Store, as well as an expanded version with the Oculus Rift.

For users with Gear VR, the app is a slimmed down version, but still extremely enjoyable. It was interesting to walkthrough the digital world of Dia de los Muertos.

The beautiful graphics from the film are incorporated into the application. I was engulfed with the Mexican culture, and found the experience to be above par overall.

With a handset device via Samsung Gear VR, I was able to explore graphics such as turning into a skeleton.

Watch over a trailer to the VR app, and dive into Dia de los Muertos.
