Grandoozy Set to Return in 2019
The final day of Grandoozy concluded with the heart and soul from Stevie Wonder.
Festival organizers have noted that this is the first/inaugural year of the event. It will be interesting to find out the bands and format they plan to announce for 2019.
From September 14-16 guests gathered for one of the largest music festivals in the Denver area within several years at Overland Park Course.
A wide selection of music was available to view on stage Sunday afternoon. I started with De La Soul mixing it up with classic hiphop tracks on the Paper Stage.
The weather in Denver produced hotter than average temperatures throughout the weekend. The festival provided water for guests, as well as a wide selection of other beverages.
St. Vincent was one of my most anticipated sets of the weekend on the Scissors Stage. Her group has been internationally touring behind their latest album MASSEDUCTION.
Logic was performing on the Rock Stage at the same time as St. Vincent. Both performances were better than expected.

The Chainsmokers closed down live music on the Paper Stage for the weekend with an intense set of electronic dance music.
It marked my second time seeing them live, and their show was dramatically more engaging this time around.
Stevie Wonder performed the concluding set of the weekend on the Rock Stage. His soulful music brought the crowd together for one final time.
Overall, I had looked forward to covering Grandoozy for over a year. When the rumors first started years ago, it was my dream to have the chance to cover the first year of the festival.
Once the festival organizers started to release a location and lineup; all the right elements started to fall in place. The weather helped out in a major way. The local residents have pushed back against the festival, but hopefully they can understand the positive impact the event has on a worldwide stage.
