AEG Presents Endless Sunshine 2024

We are celebrating summer and the 4th of July today with a recap and concert review of Teddy Swims. He performed with his live band at Civic Center Park on Saturday, June 29 in downtown Denver.

This marked my first time being back in Denver in little over two years. My partner and I drove from Waco, Texas to Santa Fe, New Mexico to check out the town. After that experience, we drove from Santa Fe to Denver to catch Teddy Swims. Earlier in the year, my partner shared with me the music from Teddy Swims and that she would like to see him live. Over the past several months, I have been looking for the right concert to catch him at live on stage. His shows usually sell out in advanced.

The Endless Sunshine event via AEG Presents popped up on my radar, and I was interested in attending a live show in downtown Denver. We had been camping near Santa Fe and was watching the radar closely on Saturday, June 29.

Sunshine casted over Denver for the early part of Saturday. The Dog Tags opened the event and helped get the party started at Civic Center Park. Youthful music goers explored the festival grounds as music filled the park.

Sam Barber brought his stripped down acoustic style music to the stage in the afternoon hours. The Sacred Souls took the stage next but a quick 30 minute rain shower also came through during this time period. The event powered through it and the sun retuned to the festival grounds.

We grabbed a bit to eat from the food vendors and got ready for the headlining performance.

The attendees around us were chill, kind, and some were going wild for Teddy Swims. I was thrilled to see one of the hottest live acts take the stage for a relatively smaller audience compared to the other shows he has on this tour. The rain also might have kept some attendees away, but that meant more room for those in attendance.

He performed songs such as ‘Broke’, ‘Goodbye’s Been Good to You’, ‘Lose Control’ and he also did a heartwarming cover of Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still The One’. One of the fun aspects to Teddy Swims is the amount of covers he has in his catalog and his ability to dip into his bag of covers and perform select songs during his tour.
