Galactic, New Orleans musicians and producers, are previewing Into the Deep, the band’s eighth studio album with a single titled ‘Does It Really Make a Difference’ with Mavis Staples on vocals.
Jazz connoisseurs will want to check out Galactic’s Into the Deep pledge campaign to access interactive merchandise from the band. The album drops on Friday, July 17.

*Galactic and Macy Gray will be performing an in-studio session for KEXP in Seattle! The performance will air on Tuesday July 21st at 12:00pm PST on 90.3 FM in Seattle and will stream live on www.KEXP.org.
Robert Mercurio, bassist for the group takes the lead with ‘Does It Really Make a Difference’ along with the vocals by Staples.
The relaxed groove reminded me of Motown. It filled my heart with joy to hear Ben Ellman’s soft and embracing saxophone on the track.
The band is currently on a world tour with recent stops at JazzFest, Hangout Music Festival and several festival stops. Their upcoming tour includes performance at the Lockn’ Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, a 4-night residency at Brooklyn Bowl in New York, as well a set at the Fuji Rock Festival.
