Hangout Music Festival 2017 has just released their lineup with a mix of electric and acoustic music on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The event will take place from May 19-21.
The festival is inviting a lot of new faces to the fold with debut performances from international musicians.
Performing acts this year include: Mumford and Sons, Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, Major Lazer and Weezer topping the bill.
Additional acts on the lineup include: DJ Snake, MGMT, Sigur Ros, Marshmello, Dillon Francis, Band of Horses, The Head and the Heart, Tory Lanez, Franz Ferdinand, Lukas Graham, Bob Moses and many more.
The lineup this year is stronger in comparison to last year. The Major Lazer add is a smart choice. He has a strong fanbase with the Hangout Music Festival crowd.
Chance the Rapper is set to steal the show. His album Coloring Book has been voted the top album of 2016 on our Google+ page. There is still some albums to be released, but overall Chance ruled 2016, and will be looking to stay on top in 2017.
The festival has moved away from the jam/rock roots from the founding booking staff, and continue to look for a younger demographic with the lineups. In comparison to other festival lineups, Hangout Fest 2017 is above par, but could look to move up mid size acts that have performed at the festival in the past.
