Red Carpet at 6:15 | Pre-Show at 8:00 p.m. EST

The MTV VMAs 2016 award presentation is set to air live from the world renown Madison Square Garden for the first time ever on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Guests will begin to arrive to the venue and walk the Red Carpet at Madison Square Garden at 6:15 p.m. EST. Fashion and self-expression will be on hand to kick off the VMAs 2016 edition.

At 8:00 the official Pre-Show will warm up guests, and provide entertainment with DJ Khaled. Charlemange tha God & Lizzo will be on hand. Catch live performances by: Jidenna, Lucas Graham and Alessia Cara.

Brittany Spears is set to perform this evening along with G-Eazy. They will present a world-premiere performance of ‘Make Me…’ ft. G-Eazy from her new, ninth studio album, Glory, tonight at the 2016 “MTV Video Music Awards.”

This performance will mark the first time fans will get to see Spears perform material from her upcoming album, set for release by RCA Records two days before the VMAs. Preview and stream it live via Spotify

Additional performance tonight include: Rihanna, Future, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign, and The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey.
