A Southern Tour during April featuring the Campfire Band
Bob Weir returns to the South this upcoming April with the Campfire Band. The band is comprised of Weir, Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf, Scott Devendorf, Josh Kaufman, Steve Kimock and Jon Shaw.
This past fall and winter, Bob Weir took a break from Dead and Co. to work on new material with a different group of musicians. His album Blue Mountain won over hearts across the world. The album gave insight to Weir’s childhood, and the beauty within nature.
Now in 2017, Weir and company will be making their mark across the South at historic venues including two nights at The Moody Theater in Austin.
During the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, Amir Bar-Lev, director of a Long Strange Trip, (a documentary on the Grateful Dead,) sold the four hour film to Amazon. Bob Weir shared his point of view on the film.
“Over several decades a group of guys hung together making music in a group that was way tighter and lasted much longer than most marriages. Here’s the movie…” – Bob Weir
Grateful Dead fans can keep an eye out for Amazon Prime to release the documentary in the upcoming future.
