Cavaliers lead the series 3-1 over the Celtics
The fifth game in the Eastern Conference Finals will take place between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics on Thursday, May 25 at 8:30 p.m. EST on TNT.
Golden State Warriors will be waiting to compete against one of these two teams in the NBA Finals.
The Cavaliers lead the series 3-1, and only nine teams in the history of the NBA Playoffs have been able to come back from that deficit.
An overall likely matchup for the 2017 NBA Finals will have the Cleveland Cavaliers going against Golden State in a return series from the 2016 NBA Finals. Last year, the two teams went a full seven games in the series.
During the regular season, the Cavs and the Warriors split their two games with a win for each team.
After Cleveland won their first NBA Championship last year against Golden State, the Cavs will be looking to solidify their careers with a second win in a row.
LeBron James has had problems with Boston’s defense during the current series. Kyrie Irving stepped up for the Cavs and had a career high with 42 points in the fourth game against Boston. It will be interesting to see how he once again matches up with the Warriors defense.
