Dead & Company Performing Four Sets at LOCKN 2018

The LOCKN Music Festival has officially announced that Dead & Company will be performing two nights on August 25 & 26 in Arrington, Virginia.

Over the course of the week the festival will announce several of the performing acts via their main website.

On January 29 I predicted that the festival would gradually release the lineup. I correctly guessed the Dead & Company booking, but may have been off regarding Phish being added.

If you look over the current schedule they have Dead & Company headlining two nights with two sets back-to-back on each day. This marks the first a band has played back-to-back sets on two consecutive nights at the LOCKN Music Festival. My guess now would be for Neil Young, Phil Lesh and Friends or Phish to get the Friday headlining spot.

Thursday is normally opened with The String Cheese Incident and Umphrey’s McGee. If Widespread Panic makes an appearance this year, I could see them performing on Thursday as well.

Additional acts that I predict will make an appearance this year include:

  • Michael Franti and Spearhead
  • Soulive
  • Gov’t Mule
  • Galactic
  • Dumpstaphunk
  • As The Crow Flies (featuring Chris Robinson and Marcus King)
  • moe.
  • Grace Potter
  • The Wood Brothers
  • Medeski, Martin, and Wood
  • Trey Anastasio Band
  • Sturgill Simpson
  • Brandi Carlile
  • Keller Williams
  • ALO
