Over 75,000 attendees soaked up the sun in Austin, Texas. Attendees embarked on a two-weekend journey to Zilker Park. There were 140 acts from all over the globe on eight different stages. This review will cover the action that took place during Weekend 2.

The iconic ACL Fest celebrated its 21st year with multiple genres of music encapsulating Austin’s melting pot of culture.

It was pandemonium from the first set to the last set. Attendees set up shop at the front gate Friday morning. The weather was picture-perfect on Friday. Additionally, the sun was intense. It is helpful to find shade and air conditioning during the day when the sun is out.

In 2014, I started writing preview coverage in hopes of one day being able to cover the event live. After eight years, it was an honor to walk the grounds of Zilker Park as a member of the press.

As an independent media publisher, I knew the larger publications would tackle the first weekend, and hoped the press team would be able to find room for our outlet the second weekend. We connected with publicists to work on preview and post coverage.
