A Melodrama Form of Music from MGMT MGMT is releasing a new album titled Little Dark Age on February 9 via Colombia Records. As the band matures, their sound and style evolves along with them. Their 2007 release Oracular Spectacular was an excellent form of music. Since that album I have been underwhelmed with their tone and style of studio music. In contrast, their live performances have improved. People have criticized their live performances, but after reviewing footage of their Bonnaroo 2009 set via a fan's smartphone, I have to say the performance doesn't look that bad.
