Organic Farming in Colorado Provides the Tools to Engage the Community The residents surrounding Longmont, Colorado joined together for a community event hosted by Lefthand Watershed Oversight Group to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 22 at Ollin Farms. Longmont has a thriving farmers market, and several members of the community collected to help lend a hand with a pesticide-free farm north of Denver. Adults helped informed and guided younger groups of people to plant trees, collect firewood, clear land, as well as work on creek restoration.
