Mario Kart Tour Coming Soon to Smartphones and Super Mario Arriving Soon to Theaters

The Smartphone Game Could Be Ready by 2019, and the Film Is Aiming for a 2020-2021 Release Nintendo and Mario is expanding their reach in the upcoming years with plans to produce smartphone gaming, a feature animated film, and theme park attractions. The smartphone game will be one of the first products Nintendo will rollout in the near future. They have seen the rise in gaming on smartphones, and have decided to tap into that market with Mario Kart Tour. The game is scheduled to be released on Android and on the IOS platforms. Mario Kart is getting an upgrade in Japan with video game producers in Shinjuku, at Bandai Namco's flaghsip VR Zone. Nintendo has partnered Namco Bandai to bring the virtual reality game to arcades in Japan. Namco Bandai and Nintendo will have Mario Kart VR available in Japan, and have plans on bringing the immersive technology to additional locations. Ars Technica reported with insight from Namco Bandai: "The company plans to install their VR activities in over 20 locations worldwide in order to increase the opportunities for a larger audience to enjoy their VR entertainment," - Namco Bandai Executive Officer for Amusement Yoshiyasu
