‘Extreme Weather’ by National Geographic Becomes Reality with the Oroville Dam

National Geographic and Sean Casey worked together on an environmental documentary titled Extreme Weather. The project has been released in IMAX theaters, and has a 3D viewing option. The beautiful piece of work captures the beauty within nature, as well as the destruction it can cause globally. Two of the topics they cover is global warming and climate change. The documentary does an excellent job of displaying the differences in weather patterns in correlation to climate change. Residents North of Sacramento Informed to Evacuate Near the Oroville Dam Site

On Monday, February 13 more than 180,000 people have been told to leave their homes due to risk of flooding north of Sacramento. The recent storms that left an excess amount of water on the ground are currently causing large problems for residents trying to find a place to stay during the flooding.
