Astronomers and individuals from around the world will be taking place in the 2017 Solar Eclipse events this weekend and leading up to next Monday. The path of totality will pass through the United States with partial eclipse starting in Oregon close to 09:05 a.m. PDT. Carbondale, Illinois will have a viewing party at the Southern Illinois University football arena. For residents living in the area, as well as visitors before next Monday, the craft shop has smartphone filters on sale to grab photos of the solar eclipse.
