The Sundance Institute and the film festival organizes have recently announced their short film lineup. Sundance Film Festival recently released their film lineups for several different categories. Film lineups include: Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Midnight, Spotlight, Kids and Special Events. One of the films that excites me the most is Give Me Future: Major Lazer in Cuba by Austin Peters. This documentary is an official selection of the Documentary Premieres program set to screen at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Robert Redford, founder of the Sundance Institute and actor, will be performing in a film titled The Discovery by Charlie McDowell. NEXT Lineup and Competition Films Announced for Sundance Film Festival 2017

The Sundance Film Institute has announced the films for the Competition field, as well as motion picture projects in the NEXT category. Over 100 films were selected for the competition this year. 32 countries and 37 first-time filmmakers, including 20 in competition will be present at the Sundance Film Festival 2017 event taking place in Park City, Salt Lake City, and additional locations in Utah.
