Wixen Music Publishing Represents Tom Petty, Neil Young and the Doors File a Lawsuit Against Spotify

Spotify is Hit With a 1.6 Billion Lawsuit from Wixen Music Publishing Inc Classic songs from Weezer, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Neil Young and the Doors have been getting spins on Spotify without proper licensing from their publisher. In a lawsuit recently filed in California Federal Court Wixen claims that Spotify has been using their music with proper paperwork. The 2018 lawsuit follows another one from last year where Spotify paid $43 million dollars for failing to pay royalties on some of the songs they used on their platform. LouFest Music Festival hosted over 60,000 attendees for their eighth year in St. Louis on September 9 and 10. This year they relocated to a new section of Forest Park to nearby The Muny Theater. A lot of sunshine is on tap this weekend in St. Louis for the 2017 LouFest Music Festival. The festival has made a slight shift to the location with the stage area now being stationed away Central Fields, and moved to the Upper Muny Grounds.
