Brittany Spears & G-Eazy, Nick Jonas & Ty Dolla $ign have both been confirmed to join forces at the MTV VMAs taking place in downtown Manhattan on Sunday, August 28.

The marks the first time the event has been held at Madison Square Garden in its 33-year history.

In addition to the award show, MTV has recently announced that they will open their historic vault with a curated selection of MTV Firsts. This show will be a 30-minute special that will air on Saturday, August 20 at 4:50 p.m. ET/PT. This will take place on MTV, and gear fans up for the award show the following weekend.

MTV Firsts will take viewers back through some of the biggest moments including Beyonce’s first appearance on TRL with Destiny’s Child in 1999, and Drake’s debut VMA performance. It gives a first look to the on-air introduction that these artists showcased on MTV.

The MTV Firsts projects will air: Saturday, August 20 at 4:50 p.m. ET/PT.

The MTV VMAs 2016 edition will feature the top stars in music including: Beyonce, The Weeknd, Drake and more, appeared on the network.
