City Ordinance to Accommodate Companies Begins April 1
Two of the biggest ride sharing companies, Uber and Lyft, have recently begun providing service in Carbondale, Illinois.
The city of Carbondale has amended part of ordinance to allow Uber and Lyft to operate, but that amendment does not take place until April 1.
This has resulted in fewer drivers on the road in March. With it being St. Patrick’s Day, I hope the city would be comfortable for drivers to work on this holiday.
After April 1, the two companies will have service widely available in Southern Illinois.
One quick tip to using Uber and Lyft: download both applications, and compare range, prices, drivers and atmosphere. When you compare and contrast, it helps each guest find the best driving experience.
Browse over a map with Lyft to find the range that drivers in the Carbondale area will be able to travel to pick up guests.
Watch over promotional videos to get a look and feel for both brands on YouTube. Scan over data from Google Trends that shows demand for both companies within the United States.
Currently, Uber is more searched for online in comparison to Lyft, but that could change with the recent changes to city and state laws.
