Lollapalooza 2017 Announces Late Night Afterparties with Gramatik, Phantogram, The Shins and More
Lollapalooza 2017 has announced their list of late night performances that will take place in venues across the windy city in Chicago. The energy of Lollapalooza will be taking over the Midwest this upcoming August 3-6. Grant Park will host live music starting at noon during the daytime. Guests will be able to continue to party into the evening hours once the main festival wraps up around 10 p.m. Each venue has its own atmosphere and vibe. I personally enjoy watching late night performances at the Vic Theater, but if you are more into intimate settings, the MID might be better

Fastball celebrates their 20th year anniversary with ‘Step Into Light’
The band known as Fastball exploded on the music scene during the '90s, and recently have released their sixth album tilted Step Into Light. Fastball the band has started a record label known as 33 1/3 Records. This is their first vinyl release in part to having more creative control regarding their material. Chris Stapleton releases ‘From A Room: Volume 1’ on Billboard Country at #1
Chris Stapleton has recently released From A Room: Volume 1 on Mercury Records Nashville. The album has reached #1 on the Billboard Country music chart. The album is produced by Dave Cobb, and filled with jews such as 'Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning.' This song was written by Gary P. Nunn and Donna Sioux Farar, and made famous by Willie Nelson. Stapleton and company will be touring to support the new material. Gorillaz released their fifth studio album titled Humanz on Parlophone and Warner Bros. Records. The album was released on April 28, 2017. The band also released an app and virtual reality content along with the new music. Some of the content on the app and a majority of the lyrics on the album is more geared for adults. Imelda May Spills her Guts with new record ‘Life, Love, Flesh, Blood’
Ireland-born Imelda May recently ended an 18 year marriage. She took the heartache from her separation, and made beautiful art with it on her recent album Life, Love, Flesh, Blood. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett, and was recorded at Village Studios in Los Angeles. May had help from the same backing band that worked on Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand. Her management shared a quote from Bob Dylan. “Imelda May, I like her.”—Bob Dylan She will tour North America this summer. Additionally, May will also be performing select dates with Elvis Costello & The Imposters in June.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Releases Vinyl with Warner Bros. Records
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers continue their 40th Anniversary tour with stops along the south leading up to their Jazz Fest performance on April 30. Joe Walsh is currently joining the band on the road. Chris Stapleton, Peter Wolf, and The Lumineers also will be supporting the heartbreakers on tour. Warner Bros. Records and the band released 140g black vinyl with the original LP artwork for She’s The One, Echo, The Last DJ and Highway Companion.
