The Chainsmokers are dominating the charts this week with their debut album Memories... Do Not Open. After previewing some of the tracks online leading up to the release, the electronic music duo hit the top of the Billboard chart. Pilgrimage Music Festival locks down Justin Timberlake, Avett Brothers, and Trombone Shorty
Pilgrimage Music Festival will be returning to The Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin, Tennessee on September 23 & 24. After supporting the festival in the past, Justin Timerlake will be joining the lineup of entertainment this year. Overall, I find this to be one of the biggest, best and more breakthrough live sets of 2017. First, this festival is not a major corporate event. It might have a couple large name sponsors, but overall, the look and feel to the Pilgrimage Music Festival is relative to spending time on Main Street in your hometown. That being said, Timberlake could
YouTube vs. Spotify vs. Apple Music in a Three Way Fight for Market Share in Streaming Music
Public demand has reached an all-time high for streaming music services. Recently, reports have surfaced showing how much each streaming service is paying artists. First, I want to note that it costs a lot of money to build, maintain and store servers that data is kept on for each company. When you download videos in comparison to songs, you will see a major difference in file size. That file size for one song or video is multiplied when we take in consideration how many people are using and uploading content. My solution to the music streaming service is creating
8th Annual Thirst Gala hosted by the Thirst Project Builds Awareness to the Global Water Crisis
The Thirst Project is set to host the 8th Annual Thirst Gala on Tuesday, April 18 from The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. This special fundraising event helps build awareness to the global water crisis that impacts the health to millions of people. “It’s inspiring to see Hollywood coming together to extend a hand to the rest of the world where people aren’t as fortunate. All of our celebrity supporters, youth activists, sponsors and donors make ending the global water crisis possible. They are living proof that any one person can make an impact. Even a single drop makes ripples.”

Kamasi Washington set to Release ‘Harmony of Difference’ this Summer
Kamasi Washington, musician and producer, is working with Young Turks in London to release his upcoming album Harmony of Difference. His latest release 'Truth' is a preview to the album, but also holds a great deal of depth and creativity. Kamasi partnered with Amani Washington to creat five paintings focused that each represented the first five movements of the suite. Amani then combined these paintings to create a sixth: an abstract depiction of a human face. The short film that connects the music and art was directed by A.G. Rojas and presented in partnership with WeTransfer Studios. The beauty piece of abstract art shines

ZEDD, GRiZ, Run the Jewels on Board to Perform at the 2017 Summer Set Music Festival
The Summer Set Music Festival has released a large amount of the artists to their 2017 lineup. Run the Jewels will be a highlight to the event, and should be the top headliner. GRiZ is also a prime time player, and will throw down an amazing set of live. After reviewing social media, the response has been bleak overall. This response is similar to other major music festival lineup releases this year, and here is why it is happening. For decades major record labels had controlled which bands would tour and perform on large stages. As the Internet grew,
