Boasberg has been reviewing materials behind Energy Transfer Partners, and has ruled in favor of looking at additional regulation for the Dakota Access Pipeline. TheStreet's coverage on Energy Transfer shows that the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline 'has spilled hazardous liquids near water crossings more than twice as frequently as any other pipeline company in the country this decade.' In addition, Amy Goodman, reporter for Democracy Now!, mentioned that Boasberg ruled last Wednesday that the Trump administration failed

The University of Illinois at Chicago recently released data and research covering the links between poor air quality and water quality with higher rates of cancer. ScienceDaily reported: "But these single factors don't paint a comprehensive picture of what a person is exposed to in their environment -- and may not be as helpful in predicting cancer risk, which is impacted by multiple factors including the air you breathe, the water you drink, the neighborhood you live in, and your exposure to myriad toxins, chemicals and pollutants." - Jyotsna Jagai, research assistant professor of environmental and occupational health in

United Kingdom Removes Coal from their Energy Grid for a Day

By |April 30th, 2017|Categories: Clean Energy, Economy, Environment, Europe, Featured, London, National News, Politics, United Kingdom, United States, World News|Tags: , , , |

Traditional forms of energy production are eroding faster than the metal pipes used to extract fossil fuels from the earth. Recently, the United Kingdom completed an entire day without the use of coal to power the country. The country has decreased their production of coal from 20 percent in 2014, to almost little or no production in 2017. Renewable energy continues to replace coal for price efficiency. One counter argument to the progress in sustaining the environment with renewable energy is that countries like the United Kingdom, Iceland, Albania and Paraguay are smaller in comparison to the United States and China.
