Earthquakes Continue to Increase Each Year in the United States

Residents within the United States experienced more earthquakes on average from 2010-2015, but citizens have backed away from finding out more about earthquakes and why they take place in certain areas. The Google Trend data set below shows that in search traffic for earthquakes peaked in 2010, but has considerable dropped off since that year. Solar Power Running the Island of Ta’u in American Samoa

Tesla Motors and SolarCity has invested 5,300+ solar panels and 60 Tesla Powerpacks on the South Pacific Island known as Ta’u. The island of Ta’u has a population of a little over 55,000 people. The island is now being ran on 100% renewable energy. The power is transferred from the solar panels to Tesla Powerpacks where they can store up to 6 Megawatt hours of storage. With the Powerpacks ability to store energy, the island can go three days without sun, and still have enough power in the reserves to fuel the demand from the community. Tour National Parks with Virtual Reality and YouTube 360

Last August, our country celebrated the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service. Google put together a virtual reality project in YouTube 360 to give viewers a taste of the eye candy within the National Parks. Kenai Fjords, a National Park in Alaska, is toured by a group of travel guides as they capture the natural beauty. Within the immersive viewing experience, this short film starts off with a group of rock/glaicer climbers rappelling down two sections of Alaskan ice. If you are watching the video below on a computer, users can toggle with the mouse to access different views.
