One of the most exciting pieces to Farm Aid is their relentless attitude to help bring awareness to sustaining local agriculture. Each year the organization travels around the United States to host an event, but they also shine a spotlight on farming communities. This year, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania will host thousands of people on Saturday, September 16, at KeyBank Pavilion. Cropland across the United States can produce a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Along with the music, Farm Aid also helps showcase the local food being produced annually. Farm Aid Tickets Sell Out in Less Than 24 Hours

Farm Aid 2017 has sold out of tickets in less than 24 hours after going on sale this past June 23. The festival is hosting a contest for those looking to give back to the farming community, at the same time as entering a contest for a pair of tickets. Kari Nott, Development Director at Farm Aid, noted that one lucky Farm Aid supporter a VIP trip to Farm Aid 2017. You'll get a pair of VIP tickets, a backstage tour, 2-nights hotel lodging and $500 to cover travel expenses. The Farm Aid donation contest is only valid in U.S.

Little Egypt Alliance of Farmers (LEAF) in Southern Illinois offers Fresh Produce Online

Residents in the Southern Illinois region will now have the option to order fresh produce from local farms to their homes with Little Egypt Alliance of Farmers (LEAF). Southern Illinois farms that are involved with LEAF include: Laughing Possum Farm, All Seasons Farm, and La Colina Linda produce fresh food in Cobden. Flora Bay Farm and Shade Tree Farm are in Carbondale. River to River Farm is in Tunnel Hill. Five Hen Farm is located in Buncombe. Little Mill Creek in Rockwood, and BackAchers in Anna.
