The film was originally debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. It takes place during the 1950-1960s based on the technology and culture used in the film.

Catch The Other One on May 22 On the eve of their 50th year anniversary, new original documentary The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir chronicles the journey of one world's most influential bands, The Grateful Dead, and the relationship between bandmates, Bob Weir and Jerry Garcia. Netflix invited Mike Fleiss to direct this documentary on Weir's life within the Grateful Dead.
