Gasparilla Music Festival Makes a Splash with Cage the Elephant, Ghostface Killah
Gasparilla Music Festival will be taking place this upcoming Spring Break in Tampa Florida from March 11-12. Beach-soaked guests will get a tan along with live entertainment featuring: Ryan Adams and Cage the Elephant headlining. “Whether it’s getting to see a band you love, discovering new music, or just finding a groove, GMF offers music lovers intimate experiences within a fun festival setting,” said David Cox, GMF’s Executive Director 40 diverse bands across 4 stages along downtown Tampa’s Riverwalk will be performing over the two days in March. Suwannee Hulaween 2016 held their fourth annual music festival in Live Oak, Florida on October 27-30. Silver Wrapper, Suwannee Music Park, Purple Hat Productions and The String Cheese Incident brought in My Morning Jacket, Disclosure and Big Gigantic to help headline the four day camping music festival. Tony Smith, writer for Crescent Vale, has covered the event in 2014, 2015 and again this year in 2016. Suwannee Hulaween officially opened the festival gates to guests with three days passes. On Friday the festival hosted live entertainment featuring: Karl Denson, Gramatik, The String Cheese Incident, Future Rock and many more talented musicians. It marked my first time covering the event with Tony. My primary goal was to capture the event with photos and film, but with such an expansive festival, I wanted to help him out with the context and background on the live performances. Galactic, Karl Denson, The Motet + More on the Caribbean Sea Jam Cruise 15 has just dropped their lineup for 2016 with The Original Meters bringing the funk from New Orleans to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Additionally, Moe., GRiZ, Galactic, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Lettuce and over forty acts will be joining the cruise ship for a unique music experience. Vulfpeck, The Revivalists, Break Science, Beats Antique and a selection of acts will also be performing this year at Jam Cruise 15.
