The University of Extremadura recently published research covering the connections between fungi and radiation. They uncovered that fungi can detect and measure the amount of radiation in the air and soil. The team measured the amount of radionuclides, (an atom that has excess nuclear energy, making it unstable) within mushrooms in Europe. Earthquakes Continue to Increase Each Year in the United States
Residents within the United States experienced more earthquakes on average from 2010-2015, but citizens have backed away from finding out more about earthquakes and why they take place in certain areas. The Google Trend data set below shows that in search traffic for earthquakes peaked in 2010, but has considerable dropped off since that year.
