Tom Petty will be honored today for the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year. In addition, his band has added concert dates to their 40th Anniversary tour. The following live shows have been added to the tour: Seattle at Safeco Field on August 19 and at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on August 17. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are hitting the road in 2017 to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Tour with a kickoff show in Oklahoma on 4/20/2016. Joe Walsh will join The Heartbreakers on the road for several of the dates. In addition, Chris Stapleton will also appear as a special guest at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, and for two nights at the Marcus Amphitheater at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Tickets for all of the newly announced shows, except for two concerts at New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium, will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. local time.

Yonder Mountain String Band has recently announced tour dates for their upcoming Winter 2017 tour. The concerts will feature venues across the United States, and will showcase music by G.
