Carbondale Rocks Revival 2016 Review & Multimedia
Carbondale Rocks Revival hosted their 6th Annual music festival in downtown Carbondale, Illinois on September 30 & October 1. The city of Carbondale and members from the Carbondale Music Coalition help put together this event. Caylan Hill, event organizer, noted that over 3,000 guests attended the two day event featuring: G. Love and the Special Sauce, Houndmouth, The Woodbox Gang, Split Lip Rayfield, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, as well as several local, regional and national acts. Bob Weir's latest album Blue Mountain is officially available in stores and on major online music outlets. Weir is currently on the road with the Campfire Tour. He has mentioned that this album reminds him of the times when cowboys would sit around the campfire at night and sing songs and tell stories togethers. John Butler Trio Hosts Frack Off! in Western Australia to Help Ban Fracking
John Butler Trio quickly sold out 3 Oceans Winery in Western Australia to help raise awareness against fracking, and have announced a second show the following day. The band is set to perform on November 26 & 27 with Mama Kin, The Pigram Brothers, Peter Rowsthorn and Ten Cent Shooters from 1:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. A second concert was announced after the first day sold out quickly. Frack Off! will also be held on Sunday November 27th at the same location, 3 Oceans Winery, www.3oceans.com.au, located between Busselton and Margaret River on the Bussell Highway. Australian producer and musician, Flume, has just released a new music video featuring Tove Lo for 'Say It' from his album Skin. These two artists share a passion for electronic music. The latest video is directed by NEZ, and is a futuristic visual piece to layer with the contemporary audio from 'Say It.' Justin Timberlake and The Tennessee Kids have released a trailer to their live performance from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas that is set to stream on Netflix. The performance will be available to stream starting on October 12 exclusively on Netflix. Carbondale Rocks Revival has recently announced that G. Love and the Special Sauce will be performing on Friday evening from 10:45-12 p.m. for the 6th annual event in downtown Carbondale, Illinois. Southern Culture on the Skids is set to perform up to 11 p.m. So the stage will be packed during that exchange. Additional bands on Friday include: Split Lip Rayfield, Swamp Tigers, Ben Miller Band, as well as Aaron Kamm and the One Drops.
