Music and dance research has opened up different points of view on the health benefits that physical exercise, such as dancing, can lead to when practiced. One of the biggest topics that we cover is music. Some readers might consider music coverage 'fluff' or 'infotainment.' I find that music is a vital part to living a healthy and happy life. Dance and physical exercise are ways to keep your body in tune, flexible and adaptable. It is important to balance and treat our minds, body and spirit. NPR's social science correspondent Shankar Vedantam goes over some of the benefits connected

During the end of President Obama's presidency, he wisely put a stop to the Keystone XL pipeline. This intelligent move of preserving the land and water is one of the better decisions Obama made in office. Along with a potential budget that would defund the Environmental Protection Agency, the Trump administration have recently approved a permit to allow the Keystone XL pipeline to complete the project. Our country needs more regulations for executive orders by presidents. Over the past three presidents the number of executive actions has gone up drastically. We need to decrease these actions moving forward for

Three Possible Upsets that Could Shake Up March Madness 2017

By |March 14th, 2017|Categories: Economy, Featured, National News, Pop Culture, Previews, Sports, United States, YouTube|Tags: , , , , , , |

The NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament is going to get started this month with the men going head-to-head first. Teams from across the country will represent their schools in hopes of taking home a win in the final round of competition. For the past three decades, a large percentage of sports fans participate in a bracket style competition to pick winners for each game. Gambling is a serious issue, and should be treated. I am not suggesting that one needs to place a bet behind their bracket to enjoy the tournament. These suggestions are only suggestions. I used

The cord-cutting race to filling demand with a new generation is heating up with YouTube TV recently announcing that they would be launching a television streaming service. This step by Alphabet/Google is a more aggressive move to capture additional revenue for the company. Currently several tech companies are providing streaming television, but each one has its strengths and weaknesses. Currently, users can input their email and zip code to be notified when the service for YouTube TV will be arriving to their area. Sling TV is one of the more established television streaming services with two years of experience.

Zenimax Wins Intellectual Copyright Case Against Facebook’s virtual reality company Oculus

By |February 3rd, 2017|Categories: California, Economy, Featured, National News, Pop Culture, San Francisco, Tech News, YouTube|Tags: , , , , , , , , |

Facebook recently lost a 500 million court case to Zenimax over the intellectual property rights to the software and hardware used in the Oculus product line. After Facebook bought the virtual reality company in 2014, they moved forward with failed projects. This past holiday season the hardware and software was underdeveloped and overpriced. It did poorly for Facebook, but advertisers kept throwing money away with their advertising system. This 500 million dollar loss is a fraction of the profit they made in the fourth quarter of 2016 alone. With the amount of money the company is making overall, it would make
