In a recent report by comScore, they found that Netflix is currently leading the pack of Internet streaming services with a 75% adoption rate in homes within the United States that have Internet. comScore identifies OTT as over-the-top content. The cord-cutting race to filling demand with a new generation is heating up with YouTube TV recently announcing that they would be launching a television streaming service. This step by Alphabet/Google is a more aggressive move to capture additional revenue for the company. Currently several tech companies are providing streaming television, but each one has its strengths and weaknesses.
