Band of Skulls, based out of Southhampton, is currently touring to support their latest album, By Default on BMG Records. The band's North American tour is kicking off tonight at the Royale in Boston. Their latest record was produced by Gil Norton, with former recordings done with: Pixies, Foo Fighters, and Patti Smith. Band of Skulls recorded the album at Rockfield Studios near Monmouth in Wales. By Default showcases the band's raw talent. Emmylou Harris, singer/songwriter, has announced a fall tour featuring a talented group of musicians sitting in during select shows. Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller and The Milk Carton Kids will be working with Harris as she travels across North America to help raise awareness about helping refugee crisis in Europe and beyond. Sturgill Simpson Wins Over Audiences with All Around You
Sturgill Simpson recent album A Sailor's Guide to Earth has captured the attention of people worldwide. He shared 'All Around You' on Jimmy Fallon in late July. He is currently touring the globe with sold out shows in intimate venues across the United States. Simpson will be performing at Farm Aid in September, and will be performing two sold out shows in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium in late October. Simpson is originally from Jackson, Kentucky. His soulful blend of rock and country has been on fire this year. Simpson's latest album was recorded primarily at Nashville’s The Butcher Shoppe.
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Hit the High Road Summer Tour
33 Concerts From the East to the West Coast Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa have joined together to take their joint partnership on the road for the High Road Summer Tour. They will perform 33 shows in 23 different states. Snoop's press team noted: The tour concept includes an “out of this world” storyline with a script written by the Broadway sensation and Hamilton’s breakout star, actor/rapper Daveed Diggs.
