The String Cheese Incident continued the tradition of ringing in the new year at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. Their New Year's Eve show consisted of three live sets of music from the group. They lead into the Saturday night of music after two nights of performing with Big Gigantic and The Floozies. The String Cheese Incident teamed up with 97.3 KBCO-FM, the 1st Bank Center and Big Gigantic to host a top ten musical moment for 2016. As a warm up for NYE, both bands worked behind the scenes to practice and rehearse joint material for a hometown concert on December 29, 2016. Twenty sixteen has been a year for the record books regarding a large variety of topics. First, we want to thank everyone for taking the time to review our coverage that connects audiences all over the globe with news covering music, film, technology and additional industries during 2016. It was exciting to bring on two new multimedia producers with Lindsey Tucker and Samantha Harvey joining the team. They helped add content for festivals in Florida and Colorado. On Thursday evening Big Gigantic will collaborate with SCI for a special encore set of live music in their home state of Colorado. Run the Jewels recently dropped RTJ3 online with physical copies hitting stores on January 13. The hiphop heavyweights teamed up with IFC to connect fans with the new music early. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5Da2ISBiEw The video showcases the entertainment value behind Run the Jewels. Summer Camp Music Festival Hosts Trey, Claypool and Run the Jewels
The Summer Camp Music Festival has just announced their first round of artists for the 2017 event taking place on May 26-28 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. Debut performances in the first round include: Run the Jewels, Mike Gordon, the Claypool Lennon Delirium, Eric Krasno Band, Ganja White Night and many others. Bonnaroo Music Festival 2017 RooClues Kick Off with Getter and The Orwells
The Bonnaroo Music Festival is releasing their 2017 RooClues on social media. So far, the festival has indirectly announced two bands that will be on the bill. Victor Wooten Trio Adds Tour Dates to 2017
The Victor Wooten Trio, made up of Victor Wooten on bass, sax player Bob Franceschini and drummer Dennis Chambers, will set out on a winter/spring tour in early 2017. The tour will open up with a six night residency at The Blue Note in New York City from January 17 - 22. A special two night, two show run will take place in Minneapolis on March 9 & 10.
