Solar Energy Continues to Grow In Kansas During 2019 with the Johnson Corner Solar Project
This Project Would Use 86,000 Solar Panels To Generate Close To 55,000 Megawatt Hours Annually The pathway to more economically viable energy is taking shape in Western Kansas. An initiative known as the Johnson Corner Solar Project will be opening the largest solar power plant in the state of Kansas in 2019. Currently, Kansas produces 11.15 percent of renewable energy in regards to total energy production for the state. The state does have a strong wind energy sector, as well as biomass. This upcoming solar power project will produce a small fraction of total energy for Kansas, but is an excellent step in
A New Oregon Law Lifts the Regulations on Pumping Gas at Fueling Stations
Electric Cars Are Taking Over the Roadways, But People Still Want to Debate If A State Law Should Force Consumers to Pump their Own Gas Twenty eighteen has begun with a debate in Oregon and New Jersey that has many people in the United States clinging onto laws that force consumers to have someone pump their gas for them at fueling stations. First, our country should be far more focused on outlawing gasoline-based engines, and forcing people to use renewable energy to fuel their cars. In other developed countries, they are moving away from vehicles that cause pollution at a
A Map to how Renewable Energy will Replace Fossil Fuels
Renewable energy is picking up stem in 2017 with the price for solar and wind continuing to drop overall. With a majority of developed countries around the world competing to gain an edge for the next economical boom; lobbyists in our country will continue to attempt to write and pass laws that prevent the energy revolution from early adoption in the United States. Recently, The Guardian reported that wind farms are expected to cost the same in comparison to fossil fuel stations. In order to give some insight on how renewable energy will develop in our country, I wanted

Tesla and Solar City is Reshaping the Solar Power Industry
The future of clean energy has arrived with the latest roofing tiles from Tesla and Solar City. Bloomberg has recently reported that the company is producing roofing projects at $42 square foot including materials and labor. In October, Tesla will begin with production of two roofing tiles featuring a smooth glass and a textured glass tile. During a recent TED Talks discussion, Elon Musk shared insight on upcoming projects. Overall, Musk does an excellent job of showing how he refines a product or service. In each industry Musk refines and reforms modes of production. He has reduced the amount of
Clean Technology Uses Solar Energy to Collect Water Molecules
Traditional forms of water management is being tested and refined each year as the global population continues to increase. Recently, the American Association for the Advancement of Science reported that a group of researchers for Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that it is possible to capture and collect water from the atmosphere with the use of low-grade heat produced by solar energy. MIT added that in a report last year in Science Advances they reported that four billion people, with two billion of those people living in India and China, continue to face “severe water scarcity at least one month of
Tesla Motors and General Motors Compete for Consumers in the Automotive Industry
Renewable energy is hitting a peak interest in developing countries. International communities around the globe are utilizing wind, solar and hydropower energy production. Tesla Motors and General Motors are also looking to turn the page in 2017 with electric vehicles. The two companies are competing for marketshare within the automotive industry. Recently, Tesla Motors noted: 'Model 3 is smaller, simpler, and will come with far fewer options than Model S, but it makes driving feel effortless and offers a good range of at least 215 miles for our starting model.'
