The Hangout Music Festival officially kicked off with wet weather. This year, The Weather Channel’s forecast was almost dead on. 3 days prior to the event, a storm system was shown to be moving into the area. On Thursday evening the weather wrecked the lighting rig for The Weeknd. He did perform a short set of hits on stage later in the evening. The Hangout Music Festival returned to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a weekend of sun, fun and big beats on the beach. Weather on Thursday provided an overcast and temperatures in the ’70s. Each year, the festival hosts a Pre-Party on Thursday to give guests a chance to experience live entertainment before the main three days of music. Matt & Kim, Big Freedia, Lil Dicky, Moon Taxi, and a group of musicians joined together to provide single sets of their best material at Hangout Fest 2016. Hangout Fest Weather Forecast Hangout Music Festival 2016 is taking place this week in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Over the past four years, we have provided coverage on the festival.
