The automotive industry is currently in a state of disruption. Last year Uber and Lyft halted their service in Austin, Texas. Recently, Uber launched the service in the southern section of Illinois. Uber and Lyft Arrives in Carbondale, Illinois

Two of the biggest ride sharing companies, Uber and Lyft, have recently begun providing service in Carbondale, Illinois. The city of Carbondale has amended part of ordinance to allow Uber and Lyft to operate, but that amendment does not take place until April 1. This has resulted in fewer drivers on the road in March. With it being St. Patrick's Day, I hope the city would be comfortable for drivers to work on this holiday. After April 1, the two companies will have service widely available in Southern Illinois. Google Presents: Local Guides Challenge 2016

Google Local Guides is hosting a challenge to capture and record local businesses via photography and written reviews. During October 2016, Google is opening up Local Guides to encourage users to add informed, clearly written reviews to Google Maps.
