Music and entertainment this year includes back-to-back sets with: Ghastly & Herobust, Shiba San & Justin Jay, Minnesota & Space Jesus, and Musa & Otto. The back-to-back sets create an interesting overlap area of music. I've been advocating for more unique performances at
Chris Rock Announces Total Blackout Tour
Chris Rock recently announced a new comedy tour titled Total Blackout. This tour marks his first time touring in nine years. The comedian, actor and film producer has always been a natural on the stage with a microphone in his hand. His ability to tap into the raw emotion from a crowd is unique. This tour currently consists of 28 dates from coast-to-coast based around the Total Blackout theme. Chris Rock is such a verbal mastermind that he can take that phrase and turn it in any direction. There are blackouts that often happen with power outages, but they
Kacey Musgraves Adds the Warmth to the Holiday Season with New Music
Kacey Musgraves is a heart-stealing, wheeling, dealing, guitar picking, song-writing, creative talent with a new holiday record titled A Very Kacey Christmas. When I first was introduced to Musgraves' music at the 2015 Bonnaroo Music Festival, I was instantly hooked with her attention to detail within music performance. She is a natural at performing live music. Her captivating presence can be felt on stage, as well as during her interviews. Listen in to her first experience on Willie Nelson's tour bus: https://youtu.be/aWMiFbK5Mzc After touring with Willie, Musgraves later would invite him to guest spot on her latest album A Very Kacey Christmas.

Sundance Film Festival Announces Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Midnight & More
Sundance Film Festival recently released their film lineups for several different categories. Film lineups include: Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Midnight, Spotlight, Kids and Special Events. Deadmau5 Releases W:/2016ALBUM/ and Tours Heavy in 2017
Deadmau5, a renown music producer from Toronto, has just dropped his latest album W:/2016ALBUM/, along with North American tour dates for 2017. When I first saw the album name, my original thought was, well Joel has given up on conventional methods, and is going rouge. Thank goodness for some variety. It might not be the best marketing move, but the album is amazing. Earlier in the day, I had an electronic group from Australia send over their material, and I tore them up for attempting to copy and mirror a broken pattern in pop music, and electronic music. This trend is
Australia Indie Pop Musicians Vallis Alps Set to Tour North America in 2017
Vallis Alps, an Australia electronic duo, has announce dates for their Fable Tour to help support their upcoming album EP Fable. Parissa Tosif and David Ansari create the soundscapes for Vallis Alps. Their latest track 'Fading' relaxing and chill music to wind down at the end of the day. The electronic music fade of using a female vocalist mix with an electronic beat is getting old fast. This band, and several acts like The Chainsmokers, Flume and ZEDD have had radio success, but it wasn't because the music had depth, it has more to do with the easy to consume nature of music.
